"Roll Up Your Sleeves" Faculty Development Retreats

Energize your faculty and inspire them to recommit to continued excellence. Partners in Medical Education, Inc. can help your faculty to think “outside the box”. Every Partners’ faculty development activity is facilitated by one of our experienced Associates, each of whom has over 25 years experience working within GME with national clientele.

Our custom educational sessions begin with an interactive pre-retreat needs assessment. We then prepare a program tailored to your objectives and your budget.

Target Group -- Up to 50 attendees; any combination of the staff, including:

  • Program Directors
  • Program Coordinators
  • Program Faculty
  • GMEC Members
  • DIO
  • Institution Administrators
  • Medical specialty specific or a mix of specialties and professions

Format -- Length of program can range from a half-day to two-day with evening sessions

Methods -- Tailored to your needs and preferences, including:

  • Power Point presentations, even sent prior to the retreat
  • Group discussions and facilitated exercises
  • Workshops with hands-on development of documents
  • Situational role-play with feedback

Location -- Training can be provided on-site at your institution or a nearby conference center. We offer both weekday and weekend scheduling at the convenience of your staff.

Possible Topics -- Choose one of our institutional, program, or administrative topics - or suggest one of your own! Some of our most popular retreat topics include:

  • "Continuing Education for the GMEC"
  • "Residency Program Faculty: Team Building while Planning the New Curriculum"
  • "Orientation for GME Newbies"
  • "A Crash Course in Curriculum and Evaluation"

Bonus Follow-Up -- We offer conference call follow-up sessions to maintain the momentum among your participants as they begin to implement what they have learned after the Faculty Development Retreat.
